About me
Brandon grew up in Riverside County, where he discovered his passion for helping others early on. After graduating from High School, he became the first in his family to attend college at Cal State Dominguez Hills and later earned a Master's in Education from the University of Redlands. Currently, he is a dedicated teacher at Student Success Academy and previously chaired the Rancho Verde High School Social Science Department. His work in ethnic studies was instrumental in the Val Verde Unified School District adopting the subject as a graduation requirement ahead of the state of California. Additionally, he co-founded People United Servicing Hope (PUSH), a non-profit organization that supports disenfranchised communities in the Inland Empire. Brandon has helped many students pursue higher education, preparing them in ways he wishes he had been prepared. He hosted the B. Real podcast discussing social issues, history, current events, and his impactful work led him to run as a congressional candidate in 2022. He often reminds his students, "Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today," a quote by Malcolm X.
